I keep it in a safe. My grocery store has a jeweler's in it; I should drop the ring off and get it made made smaller. It seems most mama's hands get larger. I had plump hands when I was a girl, and went the opposite way, though the rest of me sure didn't. :-PEmilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05117120475033380036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-89347470808145091682017-02-11T11:06:06.552-08:002017-02-11T11:06:06.552-08:00Oh, I am so sorry that you never found those rings...Oh, I am so sorry that you never found those rings or chain! That must weigh on you. I had my rings resized recently, though not because they were too big. My hands thicker than when I first received that ring. It only took a couple of days and it wasn't expensive. I am not trying to be bossy, just that I would hate to see you lose another precious ring.Melissa Naaskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930313817092938958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-52112091558195729772017-02-11T11:03:42.210-08:002017-02-11T11:03:42.210-08:00Thanks, Annie! Thanks, Annie!Melissa Naaskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930313817092938958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-32642294600098776252017-02-11T11:03:32.336-08:002017-02-11T11:03:32.336-08:00I think that simple is good. What matters most is ...I think that simple is good. What matters most is not the ring but the marriage, though the ring is nice to have!Melissa Naaskohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930313817092938958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-53721421191706910282017-02-07T20:02:20.807-08:002017-02-07T20:02:20.807-08:00So sweet. I know that emotional attachment well. I...So sweet. I know that emotional attachment well. I'm on my third wedding band, it pains me to admit. I lost my first, the ring blessed at our Wedding Mass, in our car when we were driving home from work and I wanted to give my swollen, pregnant finger a break. We'd only been married 7 months! I never found it, though I looked every time I cleaned that car (which was often in those days). We bought another. My fingers dropped two ring sizes when I was pregnant with my third. My plump girl's hands disappeared forever, replaced by lean knobby mamma hands. I wore my ring on a chain around my neck, until one day it broke without my noticing. Ring and chain were never found. Now I wear a claddaugh ring that my grandfather bought in Ireland for my aunt, who sold it to me because it didn't fit her. I love it and I'd be truly heartbroken if I lost it. My engagement ring is huge on me now and one of these days I must get it resized. I miss it. I'm so glad your ring story has such a joyful ending!Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05117120475033380036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-62067829527167724082017-02-03T20:52:59.858-08:002017-02-03T20:52:59.858-08:00Lovely :-)Lovely :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05590834468436576998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605852203958186464.post-87770415174090521752017-02-02T20:08:33.140-08:002017-02-02T20:08:33.140-08:00Beautiful story. I am so glad your ring came back ...Beautiful story. I am so glad your ring came back to you. I only have a single ring. It was my engagement ring and wedding band. If I lost it I would be heartbroken. Mrs. Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03826190476809934082noreply@blogger.com
